Whitehorse Community Children's Choir
Ages 8-12
Children in the Whitehorse Community Children’s choir learn primary choral skills of teamwork, tuning, and a healthy vocal technique foundation. Introducing singing and musical skills through song and games. Delivered in a fun and interactive setting, this choir is perfect for children exploring music as a form of personal expression and community building.

Baby Music and Movement
6-18 Months
Sessional classes;
Term 1 -September to Christmas
Term 2- January to start of Spring Break (mid March)
Term 3- End of Spring break (end of March) to May Long weekend
Make baby's first class musical! This class is a safe environment where infants can explore and react to baby-safe instruments, sounds, and sensations. We will incorporate song, chant, movement, and instrument play to develop your child’s imagination, musical awareness, and expressiveness. Parent and baby bonding will strength your connection with your child through fun music and memory-making experiences.
Toddler Music and Movement
Ages 18 months to 3 years

This music class is designed for the parents to interact with their child in music play. Parents will engage with their child and have the opportunity to play music games, learn musical ideas and explore sounds as a group. Parents will learn a repertoire of new songs during classes that they can enjoy at home for years to come.
Preschool Music and Movement
Ages 3-4

This class is designed to engage preschoolers' natural love for music and activate their imagination. My goal is for the students to explore the sounds of different instruments and sing songs with movement.
Kindergarten Grade One Music and Movement

Music and Movement is an engaging class designed for young children in kindergarten and grade 1. This class combines the joy of music with the fun of movement, creating a fun environment where children can explore rhythm, melody, and physical expression.

Discover the joy of music with Ellen Thompson’s Piano Foundations class! Designed especially for young children, this fun and engaging program introduces the basics of piano playing through games, movement, songs, and lots of hands on activities. Students will explore rhythm, tempo, pitch, and musical expression while developing listening skills and confidence at the keyboard. Children will also learn to play simple songs and gain a strong foundation for future piano study. This class is the perfect first step into the wonderful world of music and piano playing.

Do you have a child wanting to learn piano but never known where to start? This class is the perfect opportunity to begin your musical journey before committing to a year of private lessons. Starting right from the basics, students will learn keyboard geography, rhythms, proper technique and note reading.
